 CMM Calibrations:
Performed as per ASME B89-4-1-1997, sections 5.3 through 5.6,
testing repeatability, linear displacement, volumetric, and
bi-directional accuracy. Preventative maintenance during
calibration includes the cleaning of scales and bearingway
surfaces.
Layout Machine Calibrations:
Performed as per ASME B89-4-1-1997, sections 5.3 and 5.4,
testing linear displacement with laser system, repeatability,
and accuracy. Calibration includes checks of squareness,
alignment of rotary axis (if present), bearings, and encoders.
Cleaning of bearingway surfaces is also included.
Optical Comparator Calibrations:
Tests the magnification, linear accuracy, squareness, and edge
detectors (if present). Preventative maintenance during
calibration includes routine cleaning of optical surfaces and
inspection of system operation and wiring harnesses.
Video Comparator Calibrations:
Tests of linear displacement accuracy and system squareness.
Tests of optical performance are also included when applicable.
Roundness Tester Calibrations:
Tests of indicating system accuracy and rotary table geometry,
including axial and lateral runout and coning error.
Single Axis Machine Calibrations:
Roberts Metrology Services can perform calibrations of single axis systems, such as
height gages, bench micrometers, and custom measuring systems.
System squareness is also measured when applicable. Please
contact us with your specific needs.
Other Calibrations:
Roberts Metrology Services can provide calibration on a wide range of stationary gaging
systems. If your system is not listed above, please contact us
for personal service.
